Day 326 Reading Schedule: Acts 18:22-28 Acts 18:22-28: Missionary work in Corinth and preparation for the third missionary journey [Overview] Paul returns to Antioch and prepares for his third missionary journey. The latter part of Acts 18 records the ministry of Apollos (verses 23-28).
Acts 19: Missionary work in Ephesus [Overview] This chapter records Paul's third missionary journey. On his way back from his second missionary journey, Paul stopped by Ephesus for a while, where he received a favorable response and promised to meet again. Now, the mission to Ephesus, which he had longed for, was accomplished during his third trip, and it is recorded that the missionary work done in Ephesus took up a large part of Paul's third mission. This chapter is composed of the mission to Ephesus (verses 1-10), Paul's miracles (verses 11-22), Demetrius's commotion (verses 23-34), and the clerk's mediation (verses 35-41). If the idolatry in Corinth was directly related to moral corruption, the idolatry in Ephesus was inseparable from commerce.
